I got accepted to Ohio State's Mechanical Engineering program and got the approval for payment from Veterans Affairs. I'll be starting there in January. I also got a job offer for assistant welder (helping out a friend's dad). He offered to train me in tig and mig welding would pay me for helping him out with work or projects. It's something I could do part time while I go school full time.

The next 3-4 years of my life are looking up!
Congrats man :D

Hows the car?

I brought the free struts and springs I got to my mechanic, and he said they're about ready to go too (85-90K on them). He wants to put Monroes on both sides, which he said cost $240 per SIDE (~800 for the whole job with tax). Ouch. He's not comfortable putting the used stuff on, but he'd be perfectly willing to assemble a kit if I brought it to him.

If I have to spend $500+, should I just get a full kit? I saw this one on Steeda's site: http://www.steedafocus.com/parts/for...nsion-kit.html

I have yet to find a kit with the strut & spring assembled though. Wonder how much the mechanic would charge me to just put the springs on...I could take care of the rest.
I got my Monroe from napa for like 110. Something's not right here

It was for the strut and spring assembled, apparently. Either way, if I have to spend a couple hundred bucks, I'm ordering the pre-assembled kit (front and back) from Tousley for $300.

Yeah. My strut mounts are good still, so are the endlinks. No point in going crazy with everything.

Wheels aren't a priority, I hammered the bent one a bit and it works fine. HIDs are next on the list.
