Is there such a thing as too much tattoos to be a car mechanic for a dealership?

Right now I have 6 but I want to expand on 3 of those.

3/4 Sleeve on my left arm, half sleeve on my right and finish up my chest piece (not so worried about that one.)

But this is for life after the military..I just dont wanna get screwed over

Yes, around here many dealerships will not hire you if you have visible tattoos.

When I was doing hiring in retail if a person had visible tattoos, or ones that would be visible in short sleeves I would not hire that person. It just looks unprofessional.

Going a little over board, BTW the government uses tattoos to track people or identify a subject. Just sayin'
Also when did it become so socially acceptable to get tattoos, I think it is a dumb fad that everyone but cosmetic surgeons are going to regret in 20 years. The cosmetic surgeons who operate the laser removal system are in for a windfall.

Just my opinion, if someone is all covered in tattoos I would most likely not hire them for any position that comes into contact or view of customers.

Backtot eh Tattoo issue: Yes you are correct. tattoos no matter how much they are accepted today, they are still not accepted. I had breakfast withmy brother a few months back and listened to other people around talk down about him and his tattoos. He is a great guy and would do anything for anyone but according to them he was a dirtbag biker coke head welfare sucking the governments tit. They must know him better than I do. I get dinged in meetings for my tattoo on my hand when raise my hand. But I am used to it by know.
