Did you see this thread right at the top of the forums?
It's one of a handful that are "stuck" in place at the top, and say "Read First":

you could try a 215/55/15, that would maintain the stock diameter while widening the stance. I wouldn't really go much taller than stock though as you will start rubbing on the fender-liners real quick.

thanks, that exactly what i was looking for. im used to wide truck tires and the rule for those is you can run up to a 4.5" wider tire than your wheel...so that would mean you could put a 10/5 tire on her 6" wheel. i know its probably differnt cause of the differnt sidewall ratios and heights. do most people run a 215 tire cause ive seen mostly 205s on these cars

you could try a 215/55/15
^^^That is, if anybody made one...
There's not a single tire in that size on Tire Rack nor on Discount Tire.

transformerx3;
The reason most people run the 205, is because that's a much better fit for the 6" rim width.
A 215 while it will fit, will also most likely not handle as well as a 205 would.
The 215 needs to be squeezed too much to fit on the narrow rim, and will not have as flat a profile as the 205 would.

Unfortunately, you're a bit limited with the 15" wheel, and trying to find something wider that will keep the same diameter as the stock tire.

BFG has a g-Force Sport in a 215/50/15, but that's 1/2" shorter (23.5") than what's on the car now.
The closest match (same make/model tire as above), would be a 205/55/15 at 23.9" tall.

Didn't even check to see whether that was an actual size...225/50/15 is also 23.9" tall, but that may be too wide for the stock wheel.

^^^You're welcome.
BTW, don't discount a 205/60/15. (24.7"...1/2" taller than stock, the same diameter as SVT models).
If the car isn't lowered, it will fill out the wheel well nicely.

So, the next question begs...what type of tire does she need?
All-season, performance, soft ride, long lasting?
Is she a spirited driver, or just a point-a to point-b commuter type?
Inquiring FF members need to know.

its a stock height car, she doesnt want to lower it(yet )

to all those inquiring FF members shes more of a spirited point a-b but when i drive it haha. so she needs more of an all season tire. ive been looking at some pireli and bfg tires(traction t/a). so i want a little better handling tire but it has to have good treadwear seeing as how were both broke college students..haha.

so to summarize a decent handling tire withe decent treadwear. got anything that fits that?
