Speedo issues

Alright I just bought a 2003 ZX3 2.0 ztech. I've noticed the speedo reads about 20 km/h (12 mph) higher than actual gps speed. I've checked my tire size compared to those listed on TireRack and it checks out.
I've spent the past two hours on Google but still no ideas.
Anyone have a similar issue or know a solution?
Thanks

How funny I just mentioned this on another thread a little bit ago. I had the same thing when I got my car (about 5-8MPH to fast of reading). My solution was to simply move the pointer. With the car off I simply rotated the pointer counterclockwise approximately the distance I needed to, and with a bit of tweaking it was pretty much spot on.

The pointer needle is simply pressed, not splined, onto the needle shaft so it moves somewhat easily. If you go to far (so now it reads to slow) simply rotate it clockwise until you hit the stop and carefully move it some more until it is where it needs to be. With a little work it will be where you need it at.
