You need the following parts off of an AdvanceTrac/SVT/ST:

Rear spindles
Rear calipers
Rear caliper mounting brackets
Rear brake lines
Rear disc e-brake cables (replaces back 1/3rd of the line from the back of the exhaust tunnel to the wheels)
Rear rotors & pads
Rear disc shields (technically optional...the rears will install without them.)

You either need to find a junked model as described above, or order the SVT brake kit from Ford Racing. Getting the SVT/ST parts new from the dealer is more expensive than the FRPP SVT brake kit, which will give you the 300mm front rotors off the SVT.

I got a salvaged set of rear disc from Focus Salvage before he threw in the towel, it took me about four hours from start to finish with access to a full shop and a hydraulic lift.

the stopping power should be worth it but most that do it use there cars on a track and need the extra stopping power, i know ill eventually get some rear discs and hell maybe just do svt upgrade all around for the bigger rotors

but the focus stops pretty good stock with good pads and rotors

Well...having done it, I can say that the rear discs don't really add that much more stopping power over whatever you have with the drums. I upgraded my fronts first (BAT Inc. kit...300mm rotors w/dual piston PBR calipers off a Mustang GT) and that made a big difference. What I noticed with the rears was 1) the car doesn't nose down so much during a stop, and 2) it comes to a stop in a more controlled manner. I don't think my stopping times have decreased significantly...while my methods for determining that aren't exactly scientific, it still requires the same amount of brake input to come to a stop over a given distance that it did before. I just don't feel like I'm pushing the car to its limits. I've also notice an almost complete elimination of locking up my front wheels under heavy braking, and my Focus doesn't have ABS.

Overall...I'd say its worth it.
