the svt just needs a few good drivers to leave the car in GS class and learn it and i think itll do really good, last year i ran my auto spi with svt springs and dampers, and in sts i usually came in top 10, with a auto 8V! i beat out mustangs and such, within a few tenths of a sec from celicas, and tegras

The Cooper S really had no business being in GS. Politics within the SCCA being what they are...

Remember when the WRX was first introduced and it was an HS car!?!?!?!?

Given the shift, I think it is entirely possible to see an SVTF at the National level.

It will be nice to see MiniCS head to DS, and I think with a good driver the SVTF can be a contender. I believe one took 8th? in Topeka, right?

Hell look at a Solstice GXP Z06 in AS, they are seconds faster then others in AS, WTF?!? Let alone over second ahead of other FTD's!

Looks like the Mini is staying put in GS for another year. Taken from the latest SCCA Fasttrack...
"Per the SAC, the proposed move of the Mini Cooper S from GS to DS has been withdrawn."
