Heh. I bet. I've never been a fan of the race car bare metal interior "look". Plus I'm hoping the black thin carpet will dull some of the metal resonance noise...

Have any pics? I haven't heard of any wheel for the focus being that light... expecially in the 17in size...

No updates on this? Is May already:)
Reducing weight will also help with braking, especially on the track where you can brake later.

Bringing this thread back...since there are so many views I thought it's a good idea.
I just weighted the car last weekend on Long Acre scales and its 2836 lbs with 3/4 tank of gas, 5 doors and sunroof. After I left, I put gas in it and by my estimate with a full tank would be 2870 which sounds about right from a 3 door, no options base 2750 lbs SVT.
The problem is that the SVT is very heavy on front-left (933 comparing to 819 RF), even heavier with me in the car, and in the rear it's the same (LR is 482 while RR is 603 lbs). It's not surprising that front-rear is 61.8/38.2 since it's a fwd.

I want to make the car lighter by 150 lbs so I already took out the backseat and the floor mats. Taking the spare/jack/trunk cover out at auto events adds up to -100 lbs. Some lighter wheels and maybe racing seats will make it easy to reach my goal. The problem is that most of this is from the back and will make the car more nose heavy.
But I bought the Koni coil-overs and hopefully after I'll install them I'll be able to re balance it with weight jacking.
