Turbo w/ internal wastegate

Alright i bought a turbo with an internal wastegate a while ago for my focus. Im only planning on running 7-8 psi. Im in the process of getting a manifold for it and the guy i was talking to told me that there is problems getting an internally wastegated turbo to fit in the focus. Just wondering what everyone here says and if anyone here has theirs internally wastegated.

The problem usually has to do with the wastegate itself, It adds bulk to the turbo in an already cramped space. Its possible with modifications, but it seems getting a Tial would be more effiecent...

Buy the turbo and manifold from XIOS it will do the job for you

yeah my turbo kit from precisions turbos has an internal waste gate and it fits fine. the whole turbo just mounts really low.

but then your looking into a return oil pump.

yes but it also sits lower than a log manifold would, thus it clears alot more things.

As tom mentioned, you could pay the $$ for a xios manifold as well, or have someone make you a tubular manifold and have the turbo in a different place as long as you arent planning on having a log manifold or anything

yeah that is a down fall to a lower mounted turbo. but it is a nice kit cause you can keep your a/c if you choose.
