Sunroof switch?

Well I actually don't know if it's just the sunroof in my focus or if it's like it in every focus but I think the button is terrible.

From the closed position, I can hit either button once and it will open completely. From the open completely tab, if I hit either button it will close all the way then open all the way again. The only way for me to close the sunroof is if I keep tapping the forward button till it is closed, if I ever just "hit" the button once then it closes and opens, it is very annoying and practically makes it impossible to close or open slanted while driving, and in my friends Ford Explorer it has the button that most cars have like in my friends Civic, the one with 2 big buttons for close and open, then a button kinda overlapping each button a little in the middle and it slants the sunroof, and you just click and hold whichever button you want to close or open it.

Would it be possible to get those buttons and re-wire my crappy sunroof button to that better sunroof buttons?

if you have the manual book for your car it will have instructions in there to reset the motor to where it should work the way it is suppose to if you dont let me know and i will send you the instructions on how to

Ah I didn't know you could reset that, I'll check the manual book in a little, but I still like how the other buttons work, so would it be possible to re-wire it?

Ah, I just tried what you said, I looked in that manual found the instructions to reset it, but I still like the look of the other buttons, and how simple it looks and is, so question still is, is it possible to re-wire the sunroof to a new switch?

im sure there is just gotta know what wire is what and connect to the right switch.. me wouldnt really know how unless someone showed me

lol iv been complaining about my sunroof doing this since day 1. Thanks for the info about reseting it.

its a simple way momentary switch. pull the thing out and hook up whatever switch you want. it doesnt matter how you wire it up, you may just reverse which direction opens and closes the sunroof
