I've sat on this foam without deforming it at all... it's very strong. Foam is like plastic... you can make it thin and flimsy or dense and strong.
I like my backseats... they fold down to give all the hatch room I need, really, so I see no point in removing them. But it's an idea to look into if you're interested in doing it. |

did you weigh the wood and materials before you started and add all that up? whats the weight difference in it all? i saw you said in the beginning that the material you took out weighed around 60lbs. but it seems to me it would be a lost cause putting all that wood and material back in if it weighs nearly the same.
