2 questions.
do you have to pull off the needles off the faceplate? i've had issues putting them back on crooked. and do you just need the 1 LED bulb to glow the whole cluster blue?

okay so my question is.... if i want it to be green just brighter and more alive looking couldnt i just skip the sanding and get a superbright white led?

i just bought my leds for this. i will try to take better pics when i do mine...
but one led should suffice for the whole thing. edit: i suck.. one led is for the odometer.

kind of a noob question, how does the one little blue square light up the whole cluster blue, especially when there's white bulbs?
daniel, could i swap the bulbs out with leds? (i'm guessing they're 194)

the white bulbs, i don't know. i know they light up the NEEDLES.. the casing/framework of the cluster i guess lets it light up the rest. i bought some extra just in case. and i know i will have to do the svt aux gauges too.
i will learn more when i get around to doing it. just bought a bezel so when they both come in, i have a weekend project. hahaha edit... i suck. the "white bulbs" light up the majority

i'm getting an S2 cluster! i plan on doing a white needle swap (i have the contuor needles) but the calibration part makes me nervous.

Yeah, calibration would be a pain. but there is a "test" mode withe the tach.
and with this led swap, you don't take the needles off. the whole front comes off and you work at it from the back, leaving the needles in place.

maybe i'll order some blue 194 leds and see if that'll work to brighten it up, maybe give it a darker blue, rather than a lighter blue.
not sure if i want to have the red notches. if i didn't to the red tape part, would those notches stay white? or the tape darkens the factory orange to red? EDIT: actually, the red doesn't look bad. at least majority of it is the color you want, in this case, blue.
