Just wanted to add this... if you decide to get a euro radio bezel with the clock, you can find clocks with blue LEDs on ebay.co.uk sometimes.

Yes, it can be done regardless. I just did it and it's awesome. The instructions are great even though the pics are a little blurry. But once you get in there it doesn't matter cause you'll get the idea. My only thing is the red LED is way bright and is shining a red circle in the middle of my odo.

Anyone finish their cluster yet?

I know it'll be tough to change the color of the turn signal arrows since the filter is green plastic so no sanding can't be done. I was thinking of either:

-get blue 74 leds and hope they're strong enough to push the blue through the green filter.

-get yellow 74 leds and hope the green + yellow = blue

Any thoughts?

Blue is a primary color. Blue + Yellow = Green, but you really can't mix anything to get blue. I also don't know if that idea would work, it might, who knows!!!

sry 2 reply to the thread real late, but ur questions now will b answered.

chrisrobin: a couple of guys have done it already, its not a challenge but it will take some time. the purpose to sand down the green (that white piece i sanded in page 1) is to give evenly spread the bright light that is gonna b shown. w/o it being sanded down, u WILL NOT b able to see ur desired color; just a darker green light.

eliteAviator: those color described r usual but u can go outside the box and get another "unusal color" such as white or purple. like i said, it's not difficult it just requires patient, u can get it done. plus, if it didnt work i wouldn't post it up on here and make as easy as possible to do.

Algorhythm, i see you having problems, and I also drive an 05 and wonder if I am going to run into the same problem...Im trying to comprehend all this before I order my leds and tear apart my dash.

from what I read If I order 3 194s, and a 74 for the lcd that work for the speedometer, fuel,temp gauge and lcd? or not?

I'm starting to think it's better to order one of those pre-made blue guage kits. Not exactly sure where you get it but the site is around here somewhere.

I just finished my blue guages. I used blue transparent plastic after scraping away all the green on the inside of the guages. The thing is even with refracting 194 leds (the ones with an led on top and 4 facing out of the sides) I find the guages don't light up as well at the very top and on the very right end of the gas guage.

To answer your questions, yes. 3x 194's and 1x 74 for the lcd.
