don't race neon SRT4 turbo's

i have beaten many srt-4's time wise on the auto-x track. the ony one i cant has spent almost 6 grand on his suspension set up and tires.on the other hand i'm stock on 19's with falken 452's. let's not even talk about the engine. but the funny thing is, he still cant beet a procharged grabber orange 2003 mach 1 mustang in a drag race. it's like no contest. and i second the gxp notion, but i'll take mine in omfg yellow.

Straight line performance will you not be able to beat an SRT-4 with bolts ons. You need boost, plain and simple. My buddy still pulls on me and I'm supercharged, granted he's got some mods to. A stock one from a dig I can hang right with but 3rd gear in those cars is impressive, they pull hard. Hopefully the usual misguided SRT-4 commenters won't ruin this thread as many others have been.

I would put money down that my PW setup at 10psi, will beat your duratec oversized hairdryer setup at 8.5-10 psi.


and for the record, the 2.0's are all around 130 crank hp, zetec or duratec....2.3 being around 150'ish crank hp.

hah venomrougue and i both saw an srt4 at the dyno, he made good numbers, but w/ the shitty handling on those things he could barely make it to the rollers haha 4 real.
