whats it like to live in hawaii id love to live there after i get out of school. do you have the make a crap load of money? cause ive heard that cost of living is sky high.

Personally I'd say don't bother. Unless you do have a lot of money, and can find a job to back yourself up, than by all means go for it. It's difficult enough finding/making a living here, especially if you're out of state. A lot of people who do move here from the mainland tend to be military.
Average monthly rent for a decent 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment is $1300 (of course there are cheaper places for under $1000, but those tend to be a bit more shabby). A nice brand new 3 bdr/2 bath home can cost upwards of $675,000 (similar homes on the mainland would cost less than half of that!).

Life here is the same as on the mainland, but everything is a bit more relaxed. If you're a newcomer, you'll be in for a treat. If you're like me and lived here all your life, you just wanna get out of here lol.

im living in socal right now...(Irvine) and as i was reading the prices I was thinking to myself...hmm it seems to me that Hawaii is cheaper than where i am living now!

haha yeah you're probably right. But take into account that the overall wages here are pretty low on average too. If I were to live out on my own with my salary, I'd be eating ramen every day lol.
