interior sticky chrome....rice or not rice?
ok, i expect to get flamed on this one, but anyway, i have seen these on ebay
 , it is brushed aluminum "stickers" for the trim - entire center console and all vents, and dash are provided, but i am just interested in the trim for the oval vents. it is arguably easier just to paint them, but it would only be silver, not actually metal. so i thought i would ask if anyone had done this to their interior and if possible provide an evaluation on the appearance, (pics?)

if its real brushed...nothing against it here...specially with matching gauge bezel, hvac knobs, pedals, brake and shift knob.

I don't think it'd be that bad... probably a pita to install on the oval vent surrounds though.

i have not done it, i have not even heard of it.
do you have a link to a pic or to the ebay auction? i dont like the sound of adhesives, but i will not pass judgment till i have seen it.

I've seen those things on cars. I'm not to fond of them. A lot of times they don't fit right and the edges show through. I think, in my opinion, it looks better to paint them or replace them with actual chrome plastic pieces.
