NEW Track VIDEO - Virginia International Raceway (VIR)

If you've never been, put it on your list.

This is one of the most beautiful tracks in the country.

This was filmed during Marque Madness, a joint event hosted by BMW, Audi and Mercedes.

My apologies for the wind noise.

Nice dash.

You need a little help from turbo Tom to further enjoy VIR.

I agree. I am about at the point where I am going to plan on some modifications.

Nothing too extravagant, but just a little more OOMP.

The SVT is very capable out of the box, but LOOOONG straights are it's downfall.

Just don't have the ponies...YET.

As for the dash...

This was my first attempt at in car footage.

Prior to getting my Camcorder, I use a hand held digital camera set in video mode. I placed the camera under the headrest and squished it down to hold it in place.

Crude, but effective.

Don't have to worry about that anymore with the Camcorder and the mount.

he needs a mount like that, but you need a wide angle lens. its like watching tunnel vision without it.

as long as he's zoomed out you'll be able to see the road as well as seeing the dash and when he's shifting.. added benifits I would think...

The camera mount that I use now is in the photo below.

I like it a lot. The videos from Shenandoah that I posted were taken with that camera. I like it because I can provide driver's view or angle it from the passenger side for different perspective.

$49 from http://www.soloperformance.com

As for mods. If I do make any changes, it would be to keep the car Normally Aspirated. So, a tune, CAI, maybe some mild internals...

That would really be about it.
