ZEX kit usually the most recommended because it has its own computer that monitors a/f ratio and adjusts the shot accordingly... so you may not get the whole 50shot all the time... but atleast you'll still be able to drive home and not have to tow the car home from it running too lean.

50hp is uber safe. 75hp wet, I wouldn't worry about it with proper fuel (91 or 91/101 mix), proper plugs (one or two steps colder), and retarded ignition timing (-4* would work, -6* might be a little better).
2.3 guys need a higher window (due to their intake manifolds), so 3000 minimum to 6-6500. A 2.0 should be safe from 2500-6500.

wow you guys really know your stuff. so in a hatch with obvoiusly limited space (i have a strut bar in there now) how would be the best way to mount the tank? i have seen people mount them parallel with the rear bumper and with the valve end facing the seat. which is best

You want the valve towards the front of the car. You could take out the spare and put it in there

you can run a 75wet shot easy on the duratecs. i ran it for quite some time. you should check out www.nitrousexpress.com they got some nice options. id look at getting a window switch, blow down pipe, and a bottle warmer to make it all the much better.

question...i had planed on buying the f2 header next month but have post poned/changed my mind due to extra noise...(shit...and ive already purchased the 02 sensor disable for my xcal2)....ive ordered some heat vents for my hood instead...(my sri needs heat venting help...and yes, the vents look way cool).....anyhow....if i choose not to get a header can i still run the 50 wet shot safely....i dont know if the exhaust gas from that shit will fry my primary cat/sensor or not..(well, i guess i do have the 02 sensor disable...huh)..anyone here running nos with no header/with a cat?

With that little, you will be fine. We have run nitrous on cars with catalytic converters with absolutely no issues. Just use the recommended jets for the shot, and you won't have too much fuel fouling out the cat.
The good thing about a header with nitrous is this: you will have LOTS of exhaust to move, and a header facilitates moving this gas out much easier than the stock manifold. That is to say, a car with the header would make more power with the same other mods/nitrous jets as your car. Now as far as torque..I'm not totally sure how that would be effected.
