Code P0705 - Transmission Range Sensor malfunction
I have a 2001 Focus ZX3 (SOHC). Automatic Transmission
I got this code P0705 and the tranmsission has been acting up. When I shift to reverse it shifts hard and the backup lights don't come on. Also, when going on 2nd or 3rd and I brake it downshifts hard. I would like to replace the sensor but looking at the Haynes manual it tells me that I need a special tool. (See attached pic) If someone tells me how to fix this I will make a "How To" for the forum with pics and everything. Thanks in advance!
