2009 Brake Light LEDs

I've seen people put in LED lights on there license plate lights dome lights, ect.

are there LEDs for the brake lights?

and if so would I need a conversion kit? or could I just put em in like any other normal brake light.

You would need to wire them in and there is a online site called Oznium.com that you could get some led's from.

I see a lot of people do it, but I could swear that it is illegal to have any led's on the outside of the car during operations of the vehicle on public road's, but I don't think it would hurt to just do the license plate.

As for the dome light you would be best getting a board full of leds and wiring it in there, it's very easy positive to positive and neg to negative.

Shouldn't have any problems ^

Tail lights work and whatnot.

I got some ebay LED tails for my SHO and had them for maybe 3 months now and no issues there either.

i think the op is referring to the LED bulbs you put into housings? if that is the case, you need to be careful of the bulb you get. there is a bulb that has LED's all around it so that its pretty much about 360* of light throw. then theres the bulb that just has LED's on the end of it... i will guarantee you this will not illuminate the reflector bowl of the tail light housing properly and will be dangerous for those driving behind you and will probably raise some eye brows of law enforcement agents.

Oh i see. yeah before i bought the entire LED assembly i had just bulbs.....they work but really not worth spending a dime on. i had something like 36 LEDs in a bulb with 360 degree lighting and didn't really notice anything big. if you wanna see for yourself i have a set that you can have....
