code p1000

P1000 - Monitor Testing Not Complete The on board diagnostic II (OBD II) monitors are performed during the OBD II Drive Cycle. The DTC will be stored in continuous memory if any of the OBD II monitors do not complete.


what is a fix for this? just disconnect reconnect battery?

Is that the only code that the ECU is throwing at you? If so, I suggest disconnectin the battery, letting it reset, and connecting it up again. Then, start the car, and let it idle for while. I'm not sure, but I think this code means that the car never made it through it's OBDII tests before being shut off. That is just a guess though, and could be entirely wrong.

I get that code on both my cars so I removed the light bulb

I can't remember for sure but I thought my wife's car did that when the coils went bad... Maybe it was a different code...
