Exhaust Header Heat Wrap
Does anyone know where I can get some of that wrap to cover the header pipes, I know its not needed but i just want to be safe.

Your local autozone, or advance auto parts store. It will run you around 50 bucks because the smallest roll they usually carry in stock is 50ft.

gasses come out of the head at very high temps. As soon as they hit the header they begin to cool, by the time they get to the far end, they are considerably cooler and don't move nearly as fast...this causes a backup. Keep the gasses hotter longer and they shoot out the back at a higher rate, which in essence pulls the gasses behind them along (scavenging in a crude nutshell). More hp and a more efficient engine. Not to mention the massive decrease in underhood temps. Focus with short ram+header wrapped>focus with cai.

i think i will try this...
i cant care less if the header is shinny or not...anyway my header is ceramic coated... for a race header how much do i need ?

Doesn't header wrap wear out the header and cat faster because of the excess heat? JBA voids their warranty if you wrap the header...they'll know by the discoloration if it was wrapped or not. (info is on their website)

Dont waste your time. It doesnt work. This was used alot back in the 70's and they found out it doesnt work but people keep buying the crap!
