Well I didn't sell the car, but I sure didn't try very hard either haha.
After having 2 children since this build, I was due for some car time so this Spring I'm doing some tweaking. I'm installing a FRPP suspension, converting to a blow-through MAF, and just sent my little 350cfm IHI turbo off for some porting and a compressor wheel upgrade to flow 440cfm (only $120 so I figured why not). That should allow it to pull all the way to 7,000 RPM instead of nosediving after 5,300 RPM. Granted the turbine housing may still be a choke point, but I'll deal with that later if it is indeed a choke point. If possible I'd love to keep that low-end power and have it pull that hard to 7K RPM. We shall see soon enough. I can't remember if I posted about it, but I'm doing my own tuning now with the SCT Pro Racer Package. I've learned a tremendous amount, but there's always more to learn with tuning.

I feel like this thread needs some closure.
I have moved to a 3" blow-through MAF, ditched the MAFia and the g1 Talon BPV, switched to a BOV that vents to atmosphere, opened up the front bumper and boxed in the intercooler, upgraded the compressor wheel on the turbo to a 16T, relocated the coolant expansion tank to the driver's side using a Mini Cooper tank, redesigned the ambient air pipe and moved the air filter to the original coolant tank location, and re-tuned the car completely using a base tune from Tom modified by me using the SCT Pro Racer Package. It's been a year since my last post in this thread so I figure it was due for an update. The car is doing great and so is the turbo kit.
The car/turbo has likely seen its last change since it's quick and quite reliable. The only thing I've done with the car this entire year was to add a poly passenger side mount. I do hope this thread has been useful for people.

Sweet. Your running the same piping and MAF setup as me now (3in MAF housing, blow through, vented BOV).
Still haven't had a chance to hit the track with mine yet. Your thread was a big help when I did my build last year.
