loud noise in front end

ok it sounds like a strut noise, like the strut is bad or the shock is shot, however i can feel it under my feet(drivers side only), and it happends over bumps, driving straight and corners, like when the wheel travels it knocks??? so i thought lower torque mount cause that is right where it is , however i took it of and looked at it doesnt appear bad, i also looked at the sway bar and the sway bad links , but they dont look bad either ,,,.... anyone else think of what it might be, oh yeah and i took a look at the struts and pushed on the front of the car , they really dont feel soft?

The small bar that connects the strut to the swaybar caused mine to make a knocking noise while going slow over small bumps. I really had to get rough with it by hand to get it to show that there was play in it.

I also had a strut spring break 1 coil from the top. Made a popping noise while turning. Gave me fits trying to locate the noise. It was hard to see because of where it broke.

Give these a look. Good luck.

I had almost the same problem a month ago. I replaced new strut, strut mount bushing, tranny mount but didnt help that nasty noise. So, i decided to replace the sway bar link even it seemed to be in good condition. Dude, the stupid nasty noise is gone, now i feel like driving a brand new car., front suspension is noise free whatsoever. If you really cant find what it is, try to replace to sway bar link frist, it the cheapest and easiest one to do it yourself.
Hope this help.

If it sounds like your car is about to "take off" like an airplane and its pulling it could be your wheel bearing. I had to have mine replaced after the mechanic told me it was engine noise for 5 mths. It caused mine to pull and vibrated the drivers side( ie, accel. and steering wheel)
