I know this was probably a fluke, but we had a set of "green stuff" pads and they came apart, literally. They were on my boys S2 and the pad material just came loose from the backing and ruined a set of rotors.

I have Greenstuf on mine....They work well. The only complaint I have is it still gives off alot of brake dust.

I've heard far to many complaints about EBC pads. A fellow rallyist some years ago had his lining seperate from the backing as well. These were Reds or one of EBC's race pads. I have never seen or heard of a Hawk doing this. I can recommend Axxis Metalmaster or ultimates as well as Porterfield R4S as being very good performance street pads. Both Porterfield and Mintex make a matching rear shoe which helps insure balanced braking.

I can't speak for the EBC pads, but I use the HPS and I love them, great brake, very responsive, and very little dust.

Yup, Hawk pads are nice, Heard nothing but bad things about EBC. I love the minimal dust of Hawk pads and they stop better than stock in my opinion.

I have Hawk HPS on all four corners, can't really complain...my car stops in a hurry, although I don't really have a stock brake system. Dust is so-so...my wheels stay "clean" (as in, they don't look like they haven't been washed from a distance) for a good week or so depending on how much I drive.

From what I heard, there was a lot of fake ebc's going around. I have the genuine greenstuffs and brembo cross drilled rotors, and no dust with tons of stopping power!
