Eibach front sway bar installed
So, I finally got my front sway bar installed on my '05 ST.
What a pain in the ASS!!!!! If it came down to doing that again, or doing an engine swap, and engine swap would be easier. The worst part of it was getting the sway bar mounting bracket bolts unscrewed. The instuctions sent from eibach needed a little tweaking, but removing the lower engine mount (while supporting the engine with a jack of course) and allowing the front sub-assembly to swing free gave me just enough space to wrestle the factory sway bar out without having to completely drop the sub-assembly and going through the pain of realigning it during re-installation. It took me three and a half hours to complete the deal. But...all in all, it was worth it. The thing dances on the road like a 27 year old spanish woman in the world tango championship. Next up for the ST's suspension...strut tower braces. |
