Happy Thanksgiving

I replaced a left side wheel bearing last night along with a half shaft. Wen t ahead and did a complete brake job. The left shaft was a MF to get out. Had to make a HM hammer pull to get it out. But she runs GREAT and I'm thinking about a new 13. By the way, the shaft that was removed looked brand new. I accidently screwed the threads on it. 167,000 miles, I'd drive her anywhere! Here's luck with your ride.

Daslowguy...seriously I could beleive the faulty Bluetooth and power loss. But my 2001 w/ 165,000+ miles hasn't burned 5 quarts of oil since new. What the hell did you do to that ride? I'd love to be there when that short block was torn down. I'd love to read those innards. If it's burning that much oil, it's a bad piston assembly or emmission melt down. Good luck and stay in FMC's untill you get satisfaction. I once hung a hundred stung lemons on my 1978 Bronco [25,000 miles] that had main bearing problems in front of the dealership.I tried 5 trips to get them to fix it but they couldn't hear anything. They had a big laugh flipping me off untill the local press showed up for an evening story. President of the dealership walked out and stopped the press/unhappy customer interview and ordered me a brand new block, installing it the following week. Surprisingly, no more morning dry start rattles. At that time it came to me that my dealership made me very happy. Sometimes you have to wait em' out.

Also 710...keep all your records on oil changes and maintenance untill your LW's car runs out of warrentee. That's how the dealership get's out of eatin' the repairs. I hope you have documentation of services rendered.

Bought my 03 new replaced the clutch before 90k because one of the clutch cover dowel pins fell out and was stuck holding off pressure plate making it feel like clutch was wore out. paint has some bubbles under it on the hood in just one place, trans makes a funny noise at idle, car is very noisy inside. I don`t think I`ll buy another.

Yeah. Dont buy a cheapo autozone one either. I did and after a whole afternoon of swapping it, I had to replace it with a ford part later that week.
Do yourself a favor and get the high dollar dealer Alternator. Its a PITA to change those things.

With the exception of the alternator at 45K. I just replaced normal wear parts, and she has 81K. My only real gripe with my car is, I seem to constantly chase one squeak, rattle, or noise, after another.
There seems to be an intermittent what my neighbor describes a ticking noise in the right front end. The noise is only at high speeds, 40 MPH and up, I think it is a wind noise that might be coming from somewhere.
Other than that, she runs very well since of course I take very good care of my Focus.
And the best thing about my 07. I have just made my final payment!
I am going to do my best to drive this car until the wheels fall off, so I can pay cash for my next ride! With the mortgage, and expenses of a house, I am done with throwing money away on car payments. Rant over :-D
