I will say, this car has brought me back to ford. I had actually swore off Fords after my old Taurus buckled in the middle from so much rust.

I'd like to see how rusty this car is 3 or 4 years from now.
TSB/Workshop Manual procedure for the carpet issue.
Warranty that bitch!!

i bought my focus in 2003 it was brand new. i have no rust on the body and none on the engine mounts or anything important. the only rust i have is a little spot from my 3 memphis 12"s that rattled a hole in my spare tire well. and its only like the size of a dime.

Thumbs down Wish I could change my response...

Well, I think I said no problems when I first got my focus. A little over a year later, I'm replacing the engine due to bad valves and lifters. I totaled a chevy cavalier and had it rebuilt for less than it cost to buy an engine and have it installed. No joke. I'm thinking my next car is gonna have a bow tie... Maybe the Code 130 if that ever goes into production. We'll see.

MatMat....forget that bow tie crap. GM is still trying to rival the Focus. It's something that Ford did right the first time. Unlike the Ford 500 and the latest Underbird.Really M@M, stay with the FF. One problem you might be having is not driving her hard enough. Just walk in the door carrying the steering wheel and kiss the little misses like you really missed her. It won't fix the FF but will make the wife think you drove home with vigor to see her.

Lol I may give that a shot! I guess I can't really hold my engine issues against ford. For all I know, the previous owner may have used it for autox and beat the snot out of it. My new engine has 1,000 miles on it, and if it fails at 77k again, then I'll go with Chevrolet. I still love the way my focus looks, and FF is the best!
