I've had my Focus for almost 2 months and the only thing that went wrong was SYNC bluetooth stopped working.
I pulled the fuse, installed a SYNC update and its been working ever since.

I drive a 2003 and the engine and trany have been very dependable. I have drove my focus 198k and all ive done to her is oil changes, tires, brakes, bulbs, 1 alt change, and about $9000 in aftermarket mods to my interior, (lights, subs, seats.) although a new problem has popped up. My sunroof track just has to be plastic cause the metal cable has chewed through it and now my sunroof doesn't work. Bummer!!!!

2011 with 14k miles
- Carpet is coming apart in the back - Second gear is hard sometimes. Can't complain. Easily beats the new chryslers my parents have had ... I will say, this car has brought me back to ford. I had actually swore off Fords after my old Taurus buckled in the middle from so much rust. I'd like to see how rusty this car is 3 or 4 years from now. |

2001 ZX3, currently with 127,000 miles:
Replaced thermostat outlet twice now; if you think yours is leaking, take care of it! The little leak is enough to eat away at the metal at the mating surface of the block. I had to use some JB weld to repair the pitting. Dealer cost in 2004, $280. My cost in 2011, $58. Right side engine mounts Right side ball joint Front struts Right side drive shaft Leaking cam covers New clutch at 44,000 miles (my fault) DPFE sensor twice Coil Front and rear brakes both lasted well over 100,000 miles Left rear brake drum/bearing assembly Serpentine belt broke at 120,000 miles Replaced timing belt at 120,000 miles Niggling things: Chinese made tires are extremely noisy  DS seat belt gets wet when it rains Plastic thingy you use to pull the moon roof cover back with disintegrated, have to open it by hand now Ron Last edited by ronrutmr2; 02-19-2012 at 05:02 PM. Had to have the power steering pump replaced after 2 years. Now it needs a new u-joint.

focus problems
yea after constant use my sunroof tract (plastic) finally broke and now my sun roof don't open. and my rear wiper switch went out on me after like 3 years. other than that its just been maintenance
