What sorts of problems has your Focus experienced?

when i bought my egg yolker back in june everythign seemed fine bout 15 minutes later after purchase down the road the cel comes on, have it diagnosed and it was the dpfe sensor. so ok whatever right i got that fixed then next day coming home from seattle traffic and the thermostat started jumping through the roof, i had to get off the freeway and wait 4 hours in my car for trfffic to go away and drive home found out the radiator fan assembly was fried and therefor wouldnt kick on when the engine would get hot. 599 bux later got a whole new radiator fan plus assembly. then couple weeks later driving on the road home again from traffic im noticing my ride is very very bumpy, noticed the tires were bald as hell so i bought some brand new tires from one of my fellow pcnw crew members on here and though tthat would fix it, naw jsut made thigns worse, had that diagnosed come to find out my brakes are shot my rotors are c hewed to hell and my master cylinder is broken, the bumpy ride means the brakes were sticking to the rotors and iw as driving while the brakes were engaged, oh and the calipers were broken too. all in all 8 months later a 6 grand egg yolker ive spent about half that in maintenance to be a dependable ride. im not saying that i hate my car, no no i love it ive turned it from shit to something worthy, but as they say, you polish a turd its still a turd.

'00 Sedan- Replaced Alternator and sway bar links. Replaced clutch at 85k miles due to lending it to a person that doesn't know how to drive a stick very well, so it's not the car's fault. 114,000 miles and running strong after the 100k tune-up.

'09 Sedan- Only have 600 miles on it. No problems. Very nice car.

3rd altenator
front n rear struts
clutch n flywheel
master cylinder
passenger window assembly
struts are bad again
still makes a thumping noise while turning
thermostat is bad

yeah should i keep going??

So far only things have been my shift linkage blew off the trans, then my rotors worped, and then my parking brake cables broke. Otherwise car has been very good to me and has about 65k on her.

I bought my 06 new have 63,000 miles on it Battery went bad Ford replaced other then that tires lasted to 35,000 got new ones at ntb took it back 3 times to get them rebalanced then to it to Conrads it rides great again other then that driving lights melted and have the extended warr. won't cover them.Worst mileage ever was 29best 36 mpg have installed trailer hitch hauled over 1000 lbs and my hog-800 lbs. love my FOFO would wish everyone has great luck with theres.

WELL I GOT MY ZX3 WITH 50000 MILES ON IT AT 67K MY TRANNY WENT OUT
HAD TO GET A REBUILT ONE $1000! THEN NOW I AT 75K I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE SUSPENSION AND A CV JOINT I HAVE TO GET THAT FIXED,MPG IS POOR ! BUT I STIL LOVE MY FOCUS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and also when i got it it had new tires goodyear eagle f1 only lasted 20000 miles ! I just bought some bridgestone potenza g009

Only things I can complain about are that a relay blew a week after I bought the car, so the heated seat turned itself on and wouldn't turn off. Took Ford 2 weeks to get the relay in.

Just saw a few weeks ago that I think my car is leaking somewhere, no one has ever been in my back seat before and under my seat gets damp when it's wet outside. Now that it's been dry for a few days, it's a big ass salt stain. When I washed my car the other day, it was wet again. I'm guessing it's a door seal that's pinched or something, either way, warranties are great!
