What sorts of problems has your Focus experienced?

The 6-cd Changer That Came With It..cds Get Stuck.

2003 ZX5 Nothing too bad after 115,000 miles in 5 1/2 years. Early on there was a heater core leak on the passenger side that was fixed under warranty. I had to replace the ignition cylinder at around 80,000 and then had a clutch master cylinder leak around 100,000. Nothing else other that normal maintence and wear and tear.

2002 ZTS: purchased in 2003 with 12,000 miles on it - now at 95,xxx

Problems:
--front right spring broke - replaced under super secret warranty
--right rear window regulator broke (window fell into the door on my way to a job interview) - $300 dealer fix b/c I didn't have time to mess with it
--valve cover gasket - easy DIY fix at 85,xxx miles
--thermostat housing - easy DIY fix at 85,xxx miles
--now - rattling endlinks

Accolades:
--kept my wife safe through a sudden hydroplaning incident on the freeway where she went spinning across three lanes into the ditch - the front was sunk into the mud up to the bottom of the bumper - no damage

The only problem I've had with my 2002 ZTS is one of my CDs got jammed in the 6 disc cd changer but other than that I love my focus.

04 SVT ZX5.

O-ring on T-stat transducer. Costs $0.35 and 20 minutes of my life. Problem free other than that. 65k miles currently.

My old man runs a 04 ZX4 LX auto... Problem free and abused daily. 100k+ miles

Have a 2000 ZX3. bought it with 13K miles currently has 98K . No major problems...fuel pump recalled (no biggie - fixed for free) but I have a problem when I shift into 3rd gear it makes a grinding noise only going into
3rd .. I haven't taken it to be looked at I just skip the gear when driving. and sometimes my driver side door doesn't close - it's like the handle gets stuck so when i shut it - it bounces back open - if I slam it hard it shuts fine... it seems like that only happens when the weather is cold...

other than that it's been a wonderful car!!!

Had fuel pump go out. That was the biggest thing other than that standard things.

I went through 2 thermostat housings in 2 months. I think that was down to bad luck though. Other than that nothing to complain about.
Between my wife and I we have owned 6 foci. That doesn't include the 2 company cars that where also foci.

There Is A Company In I Believe Minnesota That Sells Svt Parts Does Anyone Have Contact Info On Them. I Ordered Parts From Them In The Past But Now I Need A Shifter Cable

I had to have my 6 disk cd changer replaced and just changed the pcv vlalve hose that colapsed and also my passenger side motor mount. Otherwise it's been a great car.
