when we bought my wife's new back in 04, the moonroof button was broken. fixed the next day. recently had the drivers seat bottom heater element replaced, along with front sway bar links, but that's it in 33k miles. we are very happy. due to the reliabilty of hers, my sister in law bought an 07 earlier this year, and no problems yet.

nothing much, had them do a full tune up which included a quite a few things, like timing belt, water pump, serv. trans., replace brakes (pads & shoes) had systems flushed. spent about $1200 on it since I've had it for about a month.... I should be set for a while though

ah I should mention both rear windows don't work at all...... I bought the motors and tried to replace them, but I just hooked it up to the wire and got no movement to the motor by itself, so I guess they have shorts in the wiring for the rear windows :P that's been the worst of my problems though

This car is very problematic compared to my others. I've had to get the transmission replaced once already, and shortly after, a piston shot through my motor and I had to get that replaced too. These things aren't small problems, I'm disappointed with Ford.

WOW, SKIMMING OVER some these posts I guess I'd have to say I'm lucky. SO FAR, my '07 ZX5 remains, Mechanically, with NO complaints. Which is really lucky for me because being over-seas with a U.S.-spec Focus, I don't really HAVE a warrenty. The local Ford dealer is not exactly welcoming. And in order to even keep the warrenty in effect I have to let them change my oil and other really banal shit at rediculous prices. So at almost 18 months old my warrenty book remains STAMPLESS. I will care for it, and be nice to it behind the wheel and hope that's good enough. So Far So Good. WHICH IS NOT TO SAY I'm without complaints. I'm convinced I have a classic "friday-car" There are a small slew of cosmetic defects, inside and outside. I've been toying with the idea of starting a thread. "Fixing Friday Car Defects" for exchanging ideas on fixing such things, except, I'm sure most of you just take it back to the dealer and make them do it. So...... don't know if that one's gonna roll.....
