ok that makes sence....but i have to say that i probably have the worst tires size and brand of the tire for these events.....Wanli 205/40 R17.....they came brand new with the rims so i didn't complain....

so ok i guess i got the point with the tire/rims

now im running KYB AGX's strut shocks......as you know i can make 'em softer or more stiff......
if any of you know , what would be the best setting on the front and back for autoX
sorry for the quastions but drag racing gets boring and i wanna try new things...need to learn a bit more

Nice run! But, quit "blipping" the gas in the middle of the turns.
Didn't we talk about that before?

BTW, who set that course up?? Interesting configuration.
I'm glad they ran the backstretch in reverse since the barriers are still there.
However, those still aren't anywhere near 75' from the racing line.
I'd have a hard time approving that course anymore, especially after Drew hit the telephone pole.

I had a blast down in Bozeman.
Will have to get the video downloaded soon.
I hit my goal of getting 5th in PAX out of 35 cars.
But, I didn't do so well in the raw time, and ended up in the top 3rd
There were some fast cars there!
8 in SM, at least 10 STIs, and 5 carts.

Here's my settings, with my factory SVT springs.
Short/tight course: (40-50mph)
Front 2-3
Rear 8
Long course: (65-80mph)
Front 3-4
Rear 8

Wow, that's a pretty fast layout. Our local club tends to group course elements differently, there are no "straights", you can try to invent some though.

As far as the KYB adjustments - I'll be able to tell you first hand in a week or so. But, I should think (anybody else pipe up too) that you'd want to run them relatively soft in front and very stiff in the rear. The Focus will push a bit naturally, giving the front end more cushion should help lighten the rear and aid a little in rotation. If I recall correctly, the KW springs are much stiffer in the front, which should further encourage understeer. Stiffening rear damping might help counteract that.

depends on suspension & tire set up too, with my H&R race springs i run full stiff front and back and i get a good balance.
don't forget about tire pressures also, 2 psi can make or break you
