Good bit of $$$ for mods

alright well my original plan was to sell the focus and then grab a gsx but the guy i was buying off up wrecked it(a lady shot thru a redlight and t-boned him).
so i have roughly 6 grand and what im doin is borrowing against it to build credit up. so i figured i would make the foci nice
im having no luck in finding a donor car. there was someone selling a front svt clip but has not been on the board since 4/4/07
heres what i am thinking
svt tranny and block swap.
svt interior swap.
svt suspension , koni or possibly eibach coilovers
some type of 17" wheel black ofcourse
or get svt pistons drive em into my block and ge a turbo kit.
but i rather have my car look nice becuz i can always save up and buy a turbo kit.

what are you thoughts on this?

^^^ How to make $6000 go **poof**

Why not trade in your focus for a used SVT and use the $6000 toward payoff/downpayment?

6K should be enough to get a very nice SVT with your trade in.

Don't waste your money to make your ZX3 like a SVT and still have the ZX3 value..

KBB Trade-in value for a standard 02 ZX3 with 5 speed and 65k in 15122 area code (assumes A/C, power steering, AM/FM/CD stereo, alloy wheels, and dual front airbags):

Excellent
$4,750

Good
$4,315

Fair
$3,590

If you have power, tilt, disc changer, better wheels, etc, value can increase. At good value plus your 6k, you will only need to finance about 3-4k to get the SVT. AND, you don't have to go through the hassel of all the work. Then, once the thing is paid off, you can upgrade. Meanwhile, you can have fun in a stock SVT, a much better platform to start from.
