throttle body issues...opinions?

Got a new throttle body, installed it and now the car surges like never before!
It's sooooo inconsistent! i can smell gas so i know it's running rich.....any suggestions? btw i've got an aem sri, that's it, no other mods that would make it run any different......, got xcal2 comin soon tho, will that solve my problems?

I'd check your TPS Sensor....that is the biggest issue in my opinion regaurding new TB issues..... I bought one from CFM and even after I posted here on FF and called there customer support we couldn't get it to work.

I have an 02 Focus, but somehow my vehicle had a TPS sensor from an 03 but the tps sensor wouldn't work on either hole on the side of the TB....lol

I'd check first for shorts in the TPS sensor, then if that doesn't turn up anyhting I'd trying reinstalling it again, maybe even changing the mounting hole for the TPS sensor....my .02

Pull the TB and hold it to the light, it light shines around the plate it's not sealing correctly and throwing off your idle.
