All Focus fuel rails, whats different?

Im curious, did the Focus svt come with a return fuek system? If not, why is there a fuel regulator on the Focus SVT rail? or if its not a regulator, what does it do?

my main thing of making this post, I have a 98 ford zx2, almost the same thing as the Focus zx3 ZETEC 2.0 DOHC returnless fuel system.

I upgraded to a Ford Racing intake manifold, and it was told to use a Focus SVT fuel rail, dunno why, but I did as I was told and hooked it up.

Now, this rail has a type of regulator on the bottom of the rail that the ZX2 DOES NOT, so I had to hook a vac up to it as its required to.

NOW...

Im upgrading to a Focus STR fuel rail, BUT #1 The fuel rail sensor from the Focus SVT Does not fit, its smaller than the hole on the STR fuel rail ..
my thoughts:
Mabey the SVT focus sensor is different than the Regular Focus or zx2, This true? It could explain why the sensor doesnt bolt up OR

This spot is for a Fuel pressure ragulator?

if that is so, how am I going to hook the Rail sensor up? ? ?

Id like to see some picstures of the different rails.

Knowlage me on the rails and the regulators.

Let me get bck to what i was saying, Now as im hooking this STR fuel rail up, A zx2 guy asked " you using the Ford racing intake manifold?"
I said YES, He said you need to hook up the Focus Fuel regulator...

this doesnt make sense to me, being the fact that, the zx2 stock doesnt come with this Regulator, JUST a fuel rail sensor ( come on the stock harness, needs to be hooked up) Why and how would I need to hook this Focus regulator up?

its different than the regular zetec fuel rail.
svt is returnless system and its not a regulator your seeing on the end, its a pressure sensor. sends a signal to the ecu to have the pump either speed up to give more pressure or slow down to drop the pressure depending on demand.the vacuum ose to it draws vacuum on it at wot so the ecu senses it needs an increase in fuel.
the disc at the center of it is a fuel pulse damper.
use your stock fuel sensor if it will fit.
im not all that familiar with the str rail, so cant really say much on it. call the company and ask, that would be your surest bet on the right answer

ok, i Learned something new fuel pulse damper That is what I wanted to know what the hell it was. And My car didnt come stock with it, but the SVT DID , I have the Ford racing intake manifold, and Had to use the stock SVT fuel rail, But, now im swaping to the STR rail, I was asking if I need this fuel pulse damper

nope, dony need it if your car didny originally have it. but its not hard to hok up, it t's into the vac line to the pressure sensor
