Painted Drums Tonight

This is how I spent my birthday tonight with my friend Zach. While he worked on tearing his fiero apart, I was going to take the drum off and grease it up so it would quit sqeaking but I didnt have a big enough socket to get it off...so I did the other thing that i was going to do after that, painted my drums. I got sick of all the rust that would appear after like 2 weeks after i cleaned the drums, so i spent some more time with cleaning them and then painted them with black caliper paint. Next I just need to paint my calipers blue, but i didnt think that blue drums would look very good. Ill have more pics in the sun tomorrow, but I had to leave the rims off tonight and let the paint dry. I put 5 coats on so hopefully it wont chip off/rust again too quickly. Sorry I didnt have the camera when i started so I cant show u how bad it looked b4 i cleaned off all the rust and painted.

A.) looks great

b.) i would kill for a garage like that....lol it looks so big

c.) to get the drum off, you need a 30mm socket.. should cost about 10 bucks from an auto parts store... be careful when you take it off, as the bearing is pressed into the drum itself

Looking good. IDK about blue calipers but red would look great. Nice thought to put the drums black.

Thanks! That is my friends garage/barn. If we took all the stuff outta there u could fit 6 cars in it. Its really nice when you want to work on your car. Ill think about red on the calipers, i was thinking that at first, then i thought blue, I think ill do a photoshop b4 i choose.

Looking good so far!

I wouldn't go with any crazy color, or then you'll look like a fruitloop. Use either the blue (as the car's color) or black. You may also like silver:
