Intake Manifold?

Does anyone know where I can pick up an aftermarket intake manifold for an 02 ZX-3? I've been looking everywhere but the only things i can find are the stock plastic ones which i don't really want. I saw the ford racing one a loooong time ago basically when i got my car in 2004 but now its basically disappeared, not even a ford racing dealership can order it by part #. The only place i've been able to find it is Mcnews automotive and even then its $749.99!!! I'm honestly beginning to regret getting this car... theres NO aftermarket parts for this thing anywhere... and if there are they're incredibly expensive. My manager (i work at a circuit city roadshop) drives a 2005 Acura RSX-S and he picked up a Honda RBC intake manifold for only $199 @ Wide Open Throttle Motorsports!

Thanks Guys,
Mike

Edit: Also, I'm looking to get a new exhaust manifold for my car... and I was looking at the OBX header... Does anyone have any opinions on this exhaust manifold?
Oh and the intake manifold doesn't have to be a ford racing one... only as long as its aluminum.

Unless you go custom you're probibly not gonna find one other then the Ford Racing mani.

Plus there's nothing wrong with the stock plastic one. Many people, including myself, have run turbos and superchargers on them and they've held just fine.

There is a better plastic one though then the one you have. The early 2000 zetec engine came with a one piece better flowing intake mani. The one on your car doesn't flow quite as well (provided you have the 2 piece and it wasn't already swapped off). I'd suggest looking for an early 2000 intake mani if you really want to swap it out.

well... see the thing is i did buy one of the 2000 style intake manifolds from focus salvage (the ported ones for 165) but unfortunately one of the nipples looks like it was glued on and it snapped off somewhere in my house and i'm not sure exactly where it went... thats why i'm not too impressed with the qulaity of the plastic intake manifolds... if i find the vaccum line nipple i'll install it to give it a try and see what i can get out of it.

The stock (2000 model) manifold is a pretty good piece. Ther are plenty of people running a nice amount of boost through it without any problems. Also, it flows pretty well (somewhere between the short runner and long runner SVT manifold).

As for there being no aftermarket, what are you talking about? What is it that you are looking for? You can buy just about anything you need and there are prices (and qualities) ranging from cheap to expensive.

The exhaust manifold is going to depend on your long term goals. Are you ever going to turbo your car? If so, it wouldn't make sense to replace it now, as it would need to get replaced again when you go F/I. If you aren't turboing it, I strongly recommend the SVT header. It is one of the best flowing and highest quality headers out there for the Zetec. It can be pricey though. Also, it depends on whether you need to worry about emissions or not. If you do, then a long tube header is *almost* out of the question (other than a high flow SVT cat with an SVT header).
