ugh that sucks lol shouldn't it be more?

btw I really am seriously thinking about V8s now. I told my boss about the V6s and said why don't you do something more interesting then, if you're gonna rip apart that pos. lol

because every time you drive it you want to ring it out to the limiter, blip the throttle on down shifts and cruise in the meat of the powerband so you can give it a little squirt now and then!

V8s are much more work and even worse gas mileage! ;)

lol haha indeed true..... I just realized I really wanted the v8 sound and power, and THAT has never been done in a sedan as far as I know.

I'm also entertaining your two-ecu idea, cause I really don't feel like wiring the whole car again. megasquirt I suppose, if not that of the vehicle it comes from.

regardless, I think emissions will be a bitch. I gotta figure out how to get all sensors reading correctly.

I assume when they do it and do smog check, their computer uses a guideline for what is deemed within spec for that engine. if that's the case. I'm screwed cause I'm starting with an spi. lol.

You'll run into problems with the 2 ecus I'd think. Plus it seems it'd be more hassle to make it work than just splicing the contour harness into it.

Minor update time!!!

So I'm seriously looking into shipping my car out to Cali so that I can work on it little by little, instead of trying to arrange time to fly home and work on it then.

Looks like it'll cost somewhere between $850 and $1000. I gotta redo my budget and see if I can afford that plus the cost of parts, and if I can i'll be getting my car shipped out to Cali. Then if people want to help me work on it on the weekends you're more than welcome.

I hate being poor, but I will get Deb finished! I'm going to sell my gaming computer and maybe that money can go towards shipping my car. and I know i have a little extra in my budget and i can use that for parts, if I pick up some more hours at work I can make extra and that'll help too. With any luck I'll be driving myself around by summer!!!

I'm getting really excited to hook this all up. Maybe I'll be able to make it to FocusFest 2010, that's my goal.

argh matey, it be a wise choice..... lol.

also check out (i guess craigslist or so) people that are hauling horses or other things from over there to somewhere around cali.

my mom did that from tx to ut and it was fairly cheap iirc since it was on their way. maybe they'll have room to tie down another trailer behind it.....

Yeah I'm def gonna look into that too. I'd be willing to pay for like half their gas and pay for a Dollie to pull the car with. I'll post a craigslist ad and see what happens. I'm gonna talk to my parents too. And get their input.
