new to the site so im coming in late for the chat...

sounds like fun! id love to do an engine swap like this one! my boyfriend has a contour svt that has been having non engine related problems and i know hes getting very pissed off at it so maybe just maybe...

yeah... its turning into quite the pain in the ass... id say pull the trans and motor out of the contour.... and/or jsut leave the contour... wait til the Focus's motor goes... swap.

thats ABOUT the only time its worth all the work i think...

altho now that i know what has to be modded future swappers may have an easier time.

anyone know of a good place to relocate my coilpack to? the thing cant sit on the valve cover like its supposed to and the spark plug wires arent that long.

3M tape it to the same place it should go normally just farther up? so it not hitting the top of the fire wall anymore?

ok.. it mounts to 4 posts on the valve cover... so i cant 3m tape it to the valve cover... i can 3m tape it to the firewall... and moving it up will just make it hit the UIM

i will for sure man... i'm actually gonna put it where the AC lines are supposed to go.....

cause AC is for sissies... as is having the heater core hooked up... as is power steering.

it will run.... it will drive.... thats all that matters.
