So my focus motor just took a crap. Friends and I Are thinking that a hole burnt into the piston, because my car is doing the same thing as a friends escort did. But anyway is it possible to swap a 2002 DOHC Zetech with a 2003 svt motor and trans? And if possible how hard or easy is it? Please help it's my daily driver and I'm in need of help, thanks.

Deep down the Zetech and the SVT Zetech are the same damn engine. The SVT Zetech is just....pre-modded LOL. List o stuffs Full SVT wiring harness SVT ECU SVT/aftermarket header SVT dipstick SVT passenger motor mount SVT heater to oil cooler hose SVT oil cooler to manifold hose SVT MAS and air tube SVT/aftermarket air box and snorkle SVT power steering line SVT/aftermarket cat SVT/aftermarket flex pipe SVT/aftermarket exhaust SVT fuel pump and sending unit Tranny is optional if you have a manual SVT axle shafts SVT Shifter cables SVT clutch SVT Tranny SVT Tranny wiring harness SVT/aftermarket shifter If you have an auto Clutch cylinder and throwout Fluid lines for clutch I know I'm forgetting stuff --but I forgot which bits I'm forgetting... |

Ya if that's the case I think I'll just rebuild it haha and maybe put something look in there to make it faster. But thanks for the help anyways!! It was very helpful

Zetech ftw. lmao. its a zetec
but yes you can swap the engines and ontop of the list before you will need the keys matched to the ecu/PATS system or pay ford to do it. if you want faster, just swap in built normal zetec or a low miles engine and boost it to around 220-250whp probably cheaper boosting a stock zetec and still be about 80-100whp over a svt swap |
