NGK Spark Plugs wtf!?!?!

ok my friend has a civic and he has all this crap done to it and bought it used and when he bought it used it came with all the upgrades and with all of his mods he says he gets 45Miles to the gallon and last night when i saW him he told me he got new park plugs called NGK Iridium IX spark plugs and now he gets like 55 or 59 miles to the gallon now(can't remember which one it was)... i think he is full of BS and he claims like guy that had it before him when he did all these mods he tuned it so he's got "like half a turbo" so he has boost and all this crap and he was talking about how he is running his air intake at like 5-8PSI in stead of like the normal 3PSI or what ever i'm not really sure on all his specs cuz he starts talking all technical and crap and i don't really know anything about honda's cuz i'm ANTI RICE but i know it's not alot of details but is it me or doesn't this sound like a bunch of BS?...

well any ways as for my original question he was telling me i should upgrade my spark plugs to get better fuel efficiency and all which i have looked in to and as far as i know the 2007 zx3 come stock with iridium spark plugs but i was suggested NGK Iridium IX spark plugs or NGK Platniums... or what do you guys suggest for me to have better fuel efficiency?

Changing your spark plugs will pretty much do nothing for gas mileage unless one of them is broken or not working properly.

And how do you have "half a turbo" running at 6 psi instead of 3?

I agree with svt_BMXer, idiot. Thats not possible and he is shooting you a line of BS a mile long. I like the NGK Irridium's, its what i have now, but mileage isnt going to change like that and seriously doubt that he gets anywhere near the first figures..........ever. Like he said....a good smack should do it.

idk thats y i don't really listen to all the shit he rambles about his car i can't believe anything about that car... and unfortunally like every kid with the "moded" out civic he cocky about it... the only thing i give him props to is the fact it's the nicest civic i have ever seen as in exterior appreance... yet he isn't the one who did any of it and i'm sure if he would have had a stock one with would like the way it does now

ya I have my half turbo turned down for better fuel economy because my intake fluid ran out causing my piston pads to go bad really quick. This hurt my gas mileage and now I only run run two spark cams, in order to get more horsepower when my nitrous spins up. I took it to jiffy lube to have the head follower replaced with a mustangs, and now my car beats my friends WRX 9-11 with a dell computer swap and a set of performance cam pumps. Sorry I couldn't resist, were Honda talking right?
