I was on a job in Lincolnton, NC a few weeks ago. I was working my way through the red lights back to the plant and came up on an older civic. It was primer gray, big tires on front, temporary spares on the rear (not kidding). It had an exhaust tip big enough to stuff my wife's cat in and sounded like a weedeater. I roll up beside him at the next light. He looks at me...i nod my head...and pop it in first, letting the clutch back till it starts to catch. He's revving the piss out of his...light green, clutch out...beautiful launch...he's off, but so am I, about 10 feet of LOUD squawlin, wind up to 6K, hard shift to 2nd, Loud couple feet of squawlin, out in front by a half a car, then we get to the next light. LOL...new light, same deal...half a car by the next light. Last time, longer run, he pulls even by 3rd, then ahead by a half for the next light. I was at my turn, so I went right before the cops figured out who was makin all that noise. His car was faster, but mine tore him up out of the hole. Mine is stock and has 180,000 miles on it. Who know's what he did to his, whatever it was it must have hurt his low end torque. In any case...Im awefully proud of my girl!! She ran hard!

Haha yes, you are catching on Nikiter ...this should be in the Rally Racing and Autocross section. But good story, sounds like fun. Civics usually have little to no low-end torque and lots of upper end...I used to drive one. Actually 2.

My company (Actavis) has a plant in Lincolnton. They keep saying we're going to go down there to meet some of the people, but it never happens.

Anyway, he's got balls runnin' hard on a pair (!) of donuts.

what do you guys make at your plant? I calibrate process control equipment for lots of companies, mainly for ones that make goods for the automotive market. Maybe you need some certified calibrations there...?

It's a generic pharmaceutical plant. Creams and ointments, mostly.
