egr question

i have to plug the egr tube on my brothers header of his car what would be the best way to plug that hole or if anybody knows the thread size of the hole on the headerwould be great

just take off that bit fat bolt that came off there and take it to somwhere that sells nuts and bolts

from what i understand it is an odd ball size

I don't know about the size bolt you would need, but I know I read somewhere about people welding in a penny or nickel to plug the hole. I would try to find something to thread in before doing that though.

Take the old EGR tube, hack off the flared end of the tube, take that big nut that bolts to the EGR fitting on the exhaust and stick a couple of pennies inside then bolt it back on. BTW, I tried this and it worked until I installed the Powerworks, then I blew both pennies out.

LOL luckily when I put the turbo kit on, I won't have to worry about my pennies


but yeah, no welding required, just cut the egr pipe so you can slide the nut off, stick 2 pennies in it and tighten that bitch down
