Bias ply slicks = softer sidewalls than radials = more cushioning to the drivetrain when launching/shifting. I'd say you're probably fine with bias ply's.

I have never seen a broke "axle" on a Focus ever , I would say from your list our axles are 2 to 4 times stronger then the cars in your list , add the slicks and have fun

Well to bring this thread back from the dead I can now say I've seen a Focus break both axles at the same time on drag radials. So much for the unbreakable axles...

Are the SVTF axles the same strength as the MTX axles?

Id like to know as well , Im pushing 326HP and 331TQ SVT with well over 300 1/4 mile passes on BFG G-Force and over 700HP on the same and never broke an axle

What HP/TQ is he making , My guess is not a lot and took the RPM to about 5000+ and slid his foot side ways off the clutch

You can tear up anything thats no secret but common sence has to come into play somewhere

At 18psi the car made 350whp 310wtq, but he was only running 14psi on that pass.

Out of those 300 1/4 mile passes what was your best 60ft out of the SVT and the 700hp focus?

The axles broke on the second pass and the first pass he let off.
