Thumbs down Discount Tire on Polaris parkway

In the middle of february i went up and made a pruchase of some rota grids and yoko tires. I put 650.00 down they said the rims would be here end of march.. I called in and they said they will be here the 28th of march. I called in that monday and one of the workers ( not saying names) said they have not arrived and are on the way here. It would be a couple of weeks. I called back yesterday ( 2 weeks from then). They proceeded to tell me it will be another month and they are on the way......They were on there way 2 weeks ago.

i was ok with it taking untill the middle of april... but it will take till the middle of may. I ordered these things 2 months ago and it will be three months before i get them. I am half tempted to go get my deposit back and order them off line. I went to discount for a peace of mind, instead of ordering them off line. I will pay 1300.00 from discount where i can pay 1000.00 online. If they dont credit me some money back i will prob. take my money and never return...

Discuss..............

I would raise a stink at corporate. Nothing greases a squeaky wheel like corporate.

I would try and get this corrected with them first. I dunno, seems kinda fishy to me, but i mean i bought tires from them VIA on line and i got them the next day. My overall experience with them was great. I would buy from them again. I drove by there a few times last year and they seemed to be pretty BUSY. Of course Highbanks is right around the corner

I would talk with someone in management there at the store if that doesn't work, try talking to someone from their corperate office. If they aren't willing to give your money back, then they better give you one hell of a discount. OVER A GRAND you're spending there. That's not chump change.

I wouldn't demand a certain price just yet. I would first see what they're willing to give you. Might be more than what you're expecting. If it's not what you were hoping for, then start this whole process.

I know discounttiredirect.com prides itself on customer service. In the business world, you can't go straight for the throat, you have to work your way up from the bottom. Also, make sure you have all the documentation of the deposit paid and IF possible a written document stating when they'd have the wheels and tires for you. Start with the Management at the store you were at and work your way up
