i did not understand what you are asking i think you mean do you have to use the livewires with the screamin demon coil pack? im pretty sure if you get any brand wire with the same connections like msd's it will work

i have the screaming demon coil pack with livewires and im happy with them
the only reason i bought them was bc my car was misfiring due to a bad coil so i bought it. they look good under the hood but as for performance you wont feel any difference with them

I'm straining a bit, but I think I understand this post; you're running a Screamin Demon coil pack and Livewire plug wires, and have a problem with one or more of your wires - due to this, you need to replace them, and appear to want to know if any wire will do.

It's good you asked; NO, any wire won't do. The SD coil pack uses wire terminals like the ZX2 Escort and zetec-equiped Contours. You noticed the clips on the wires, the regular Focus coil pack does NOT use this style of connection. You can jam the wires on (I did, and destroyed a good set of FR wires), but it's not correct. MSD wires use this connection; you can also order wires from Massive Speed Systems with an MSD-style connection. Apparently, you can also use OEM wires from a ZX2 or Contour, but I can't verify that personally.

SVT Robzor is right. You need to get another set of livewires or put the stock coil pack back on.

I got a set of Nology Hotwire knockoffs-Xtune, and they work great-
10mm, low impedence, only gripe is they are a bit longer than stock and I cant use my SVT badge spark plug cover. They have the same clips as the Livewires.

BTW i'm running the SD coil also.
