well to my knowledge a resistor is good for if you plan on having the halo's on for long periods of time like to prevent the l.e.d.'s from burning out, so like let's say you drive at night a lot and have them lit, then yah u may want to invest in one...if anyone out there knows of there being more to it than that then feel free to correct me (nicely) the one's i ordered come with resistors, and i guess i'll make use of 'em but i wouldn't really care if they didn't come with them...and yeah, as long as your friend's lights are the same ones, there is few other style angel eyes out there for the foci that may not necessarily follow the same procedure to perform this particular surgical procedure...beyond that just make sure whoever is doing the soldering part knows a little 'bout wut there doing or at least practice with some other stuff before hand...i personally don't expect to have a hard time with this but if you go into it half a$$ed and cocky, then you probably will mess something up

yea, were actually having a led g2g.. lol

a bunch of members of our car club are changing led's in their cars from the green to whatever color

so...

im getting the led's for free, their hyper white, which are pretty bright

and im putting resistors on ALL of the led's, so that they dont burn out, cauz i plan on using them whenever my parking lights come on,so, basically, at dusk, all the time
