One of my halos just burnt out. By doing this and replacing them with newer LEDs, I would not have such a short life? It's only been 5 months and I rarely drive with my headlights on.

Do I need to solder resistors on also?

Scrammer: Are those white or blue LEDs?

i used white.
resistors are already there.
not many, if any of us have replaced the resistors. i did this mod before the headlights were ever installed on my car so i have no experience with the crappy leds these things come with. though, i drive with my fogs on quite a bit and i have never burned out a led. (wired to fogs)they have been on my car since March/07

they are standard 194 bulbs. make sure you find led bulbs. you find them in many different colors. again, i have had none of my stuff burned out. every bulb in these headlights should be upgraded before installation.

I just did this mod with some red LEDs and I would suggest not to get the LEDs with colored housing, but rather with the clear housing and red diodes. I had to re solder all the halos a second time because of this. The old ones were just too weak.
