Clutchmaster stage 3, 4 or 5

Why is the stage 3 and 4 more expensive than the stage 5? Also, any recommendations on 4 or 6 puck hub? My SVT is currently stock but a supercharger will be added.

I recommend a Spec stg 2 or stg 2+. I have the stg2 on right now with the findanza aluminum FW and it is great! I have read on this board many bad things with clutch masters going out very early. Just my two cents...

I have a stage 3 in mine with no issues.

I went with the mid range because the car is also my daily driver.

If you are adding a super charger, I would definitely go with a 4 or 5 for the extra grip because of the added HP at the crank.

I am still on the fence myself when it comes to a new clutch. I can say that I would be upset in the EXTREME if I spent all that money on a new clutch and install only to have it go out in 20K miles or so!!! I myself want more feedback from aftermarket clutch owners too, post away guy's and gal's! lol

Also, how many miles have you put on your clutches??

I'm not an owner, but I've consistently read that Stage 4 and up is overkill, even for a supercharger kit.

I just recently got CM stage 3 clutch and fidanza aluminum flywheel installed, i like it a lot, though the bad thing is i over paid. i paid 560 at a local shop since i needed it asap becuase my stock clutch gave out on me. and the flywheel i was able to get online at ultrarev.com for like 320 with shipping.

Sofar ive only put 520 miles on it and i guess ill just have to wait if i have problems with it though my friend has a honda del sol with a cm stage 3 thats 3 years old and no problems

+1

Another reason why I am unsure about swapping mine. I expect a clutch to last ATLEAST 50k and more like around 80k+. If a clutch went by 20k I think I'd loose it! Any MTX car I have had has gone WAY over 100k with the stock clutch. In fact, my SVT has over 100k on the stock clutch right now... it is a little bit weak during fast shifts but it holds as long as I don't drive like a maniac or a 16yr old punk who just learned how-to drive stick.
