start with lowering and wheels, get the horrible fender gap taken care of. then i would go for tint. and then and intake, throttle body, full exhaust overhaul, cams, and a tune. after that you should decide if you're goin all the way with FI or NA, or if you're just gonna stick with simple bolt-ons.

my $.02

I agree with Shadowrunner, only I went for the small bolt on stuff first and now I'm starting to look at after-market springs and headlights. There's really no right or wrong way to go when you're trying to decide between looks or performance at this point.

Here are the main websites I go through in search of after-market parts.

http://www.focussport.com/
http://focus.c-f-m.com/
http://www.newedgeperformance.com/
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/search.asp?q=focus

For the ford racing stuff you'll have to pick out what you want and get in touch with Mike (b16sir1996). He works for ford and gets some pretty rad discounts. I ordered a set of FR2 cams from him that are normally $300+ and he was able to get them to me for $120 shipped.

You'll definitely want to check this out.

Anytime you have a question about something. Go down the list and see if there's a write-up about it first. It will save you tons of time. Also, when you have nothing to do, go down the list and click on anything that interests you. You'll learn more in a month on that page than you will asking questions on the forums in four years.

Well it depends on what you want. DO you want the look, or do you want the horse power? if you want performance then i would say go Exhaust, intake , and a tune and then lower it and tint it.

On anothoer note a Cheep mod you can do for apperence is pull out your vent trim and stuff and paint it eihter the color of the car or if you want to go with a brighter accent color that y ou plan on useing all over than use that. Its fairly easy to. just make sure you sand ALL of the shiny clear coat off them if you do that.
